Role Overview
This full-time position for an Interior Designer is based on-site in Hayes and includes responsibilities requiring travel to client locations throughout London and nearby areas for consultations, surveys, and project management. The role involves working directly with clients to ascertain their needs and creating bespoke design solutions for wardrobes and fitted furniture. Daily duties encompass space planning, specifying finishes and materials, coordinating furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and collaborating with joiners and installers to ensure exact realization of designs. The designer will also conduct site visits, take precise measurements, modify plans in response to client feedback, and maintain comprehensive documentation and clear communication throughout projects.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled in Interior Design and Space Planning with the ability to craft layouts that are both functional and visually appealing.
- Competent in interpreting and preparing Architecture and Construction Drawings relevant to fabrication and installation processes.
- Experienced in selecting FF&E, including appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for custom fitted furniture.
- Strong client interaction and communication skills, capable of presenting design concepts and integrating feedback effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple projects and onsite deadlines.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in residential interiors or bespoke joinery/fitted furniture within the UK market.
- Relevant qualifications in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent practical experience are required.
