About the Role

The Industrial Security Guard position is located at a heavy-duty industrial site in Port Mellon, British Columbia. This role demands vigilance and strong observation skills to maintain safety and security in a fast-paced industrial environment including manufacturing facilities, processing plants, warehouses, and equipment yards.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security systems to identify suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to incidents or potential threats on site.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reports regarding all observed events and incidents.
• Perform regular foot patrols to ensure the premises remain secure.
• Regulate access to restricted areas and verify visitor identifications.
• Analyze security infrastructure for vulnerabilities or failures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergencies or serious incidents.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid authorization to work in Canada.
• Possession of a current British Columbia security license.
• First aid certification is considered an advantage.
• Strong skills in report writing and documentation.
• Excellent vision and the ability to maintain focus over extended periods.
• Technological proficiency relevant to security system monitoring.
• Physical ability to stand and walk throughout the duration of the shifts.
