Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Incentive Compensation Analyst to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of our variable compensation processes. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Incentive Compensation, this role collaborates across Revenue, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, and HR teams to manage commission and bonus operations. A minimum of two years' experience in sales-based variable compensation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and manage compensation plans for sales and customer success teams.
  • Calculate and analyze commission payouts following quarterly schedules.
  • Ensure compensation plan acknowledgment and compliance by revenue team members.
  • Support accounting and financial planning teams with monthly accruals and commission reconciliations.
  • Serve as a primary contact for commission-related inquiries, responding promptly to revenue stakeholders.
  • Document approvals for any payment adjustments and assist in formulating related policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update tools required for commissions reporting and create process documentation.
  • Identify and lead improvements in commission processes and oversee user acceptance testing for annual compensation plan updates.
  • Provide cross-departmental support for commission-related questions and deliver ad hoc projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in variable compensation, including commission planning and administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enthusiasm for adopting new technologies.
  • Familiarity with compensation management tools such as QuotaPath is advantageous.
  • Experience with CRM and HRIS platforms like Salesforce and Workday is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of commission accounting concepts including accruals, payments, and profit & loss impacts.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive mindset.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks within dynamic environments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Motivated to engage across multiple business units to provide support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related quantitative field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $102,000 USD annually, with final offers determined by experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
