Hygiene Operative - Day Shift

Pilgrim's Europe is hiring full-time day shift operatives for the Hygiene Department at the Westerleigh site. Reporting line and work environment

The position reports to the Hygiene Manager and involves working with the hygiene team to keep production and packing areas clean and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties for designated production machinery and equipment.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene rules consistently throughout the shift.
• Adapt to changing tasks and use a range of practical skills as needed.
• Maintain awareness of quality, product safety, and operational requirements.
• Respond appropriately to unusual or non-routine situations when they arise.

What the employer is looking for

• Some previous experience in factory or industrial cleaning would be helpful.
• You should be able to work on your own with minimal supervision.
• Practical hands-on ability and safe manual handling skills are important.
• A basic understanding of health and safety is required.
• Knowledge of COSHH is desirable.

• Good teamwork is also expected.
