HVAC Senior Design Engineer

Overview

Welkin Airtech Private Limited seeks an experienced HVAC Senior Design Engineer to lead design and coordination efforts for HVAC systems across various project types including commercial, industrial, residential, and institutional developments in Gurugram, Haryana.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be in charge of HVAC system design aligned with project requirements and standards, including performing heat load calculations, designing chilled water, VRV/VRF, ventilation, exhaust, and pressurization systems. The role involves sizing ducts and pipes, equipment selection, preparing technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and BOQs, and reviewing tender documents and specifications. Coordination with allied disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and architecture is essential. The engineer will also prepare technical submittals, assist procurement with clarifications and vendor assessments, attend client and consultant meetings, ensure compliance with standards like ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, ISHRAE, and provide support during execution, testing, and commissioning phases while recommending engineering solutions based on site reviews.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with practical experience in HVAC design and project coordination. A strong grasp of HVAC design protocols is necessary. Proficiency with AutoCAD and load calculation tools such as HAP or Carrier software is preferred. Understanding of HVAC controls and BMS integration, along with knowledge of ducting, piping, insulation, and ventilation, is required. The role demands the ability to interpret technical drawings and excellent communication and coordination capabilities.

Experience & Salary

Applicants can range from fresh graduates up to approximately four years of relevant experience. Salary will be commensurate with industry standards and individual expertise.
