Human Resources Officer

Role overview

The Human Resources Officer will oversee the complete employee journey, with a strong emphasis on large-scale hiring, Qatar labor compliance, visa coordination, and employee welfare. This position also covers payroll administration, employee relations, and training coordination, and is well suited to someone familiar with multinational teams and site-based project operations.

Recruitment and mobilization

• Handle the recruitment process from start to finish, including mass hiring for project needs, visa processing, and joining or exit formalities for both local and overseas employees.

Compliance and labor law

• Maintain full compliance with Qatar Labor Law.
• Support QID processing, medical checks, and related government procedures, often working alongside a Public Relations Officer.

Payroll, attendance, and records

• Administer payroll activities and track employee attendance.
• Keep HR documentation accurate and up to date in HRMS platforms.

Employee relations and welfare

• Serve as the main contact for employee concerns and grievances.
• Promote healthy working relationships and help manage camp welfare and accommodation standards at site locations.

Performance and training

• Support performance review processes.
• Coordinate learning, training, and development initiatives for employees.

Systems and reporting

• Use ERP modules to improve HR workflows.
• Update employee databases and prepare accurate workforce reports.

Experience and qualifications

• Seven to ten years of prior experience in Qatar within the construction or engineering sectors is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar labor regulations and visa procedures is required.
• Good command of English, MS Office, and computerized payroll systems is expected.
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline is required.
