Household Driver / Family Driver

Overview

This role involves providing secure, reliable, and discreet driving services to a private family and their guests in Dubai. The driver ensures that the assigned vehicle is meticulously maintained and operates with full confidentiality regarding the family's private affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport family members, children, guests, and domestic staff safely to various destinations including schools, shopping venues, appointments, business meetings, social engagements, and airports.
• Plan routes ahead to maintain punctuality and avoid delays, taking into account traffic conditions to select the safest and quickest paths.
• Uphold strict confidentiality about the family's whereabouts, activities, visitors, and private matters.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, well-fueled, and in prime working condition through daily inspections of components such as tyres, oil, coolant, brakes, lights, and air conditioning.
• Handle scheduling and coordination for vehicle servicing, registration, insurance, inspections, and necessary repairs.
• Maintain detailed records related to fuel consumption, maintenance, and other automotive expenses.
• Assist with carrying luggage, shopping bags, and personal items when necessary.
• Be flexible and available to accommodate the family's timetable, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Ensure passengers comply with safety protocols including proper use of seat belts and child seats.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, discreet demeanor at all times while obeying traffic laws and family guidelines on vehicle operation and security.
• Promptly report any accidents, traffic violations, vehicle problems, or unusual occurrences to the assigned family representative.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Possession of a valid driving licence.
• Between three to five years of experience as a private, family, or VIP driver.
• Strong familiarity with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and primary regional routes.
• A clean driving record with comprehensive knowledge of traffic regulations.
• Effective communication skills in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
• Professional appearance coupled with excellent personal hygiene.
• Demonstrated trustworthiness, discretion, patience, and respectfulness.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and maintain confidentiality faithfully.
• Basic mechanical knowledge concerning vehicle upkeep and minor problem-solving.
• Preferred: Prior service with Emirati families or VIP households.
