Hostess

Overview

The St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Hostess to join their team in Doha, Qatar. This role involves welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring high-quality dining experiences within a luxury hotel setting on The Pearl Island.

Primary Duties

• Greet guests warmly and determine party sizes.
• Assign seats by locating clean and available tables, providing assistance as needed while escorting guests through dining areas.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and place settings accommodating special group needs.
• Ensure all place settings include clean silverware, napkins, and other standard items.
• Keep menus clean, up-to-date, and presentable.
• Maintain cleanliness in workspaces throughout the day using clean-as-you-go habits.
• Constantly monitor dining rooms to assess seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and comfort.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with all company safety, security policies, and procedures; promptly report incidents and unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of sensitive company information.
• Interact with guests and colleagues professionally, including clear communication and proper telephone etiquette.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Adhere to quality standards and follow supervisors' reasonable job requests.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, and safely lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds unaided.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience is required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
