Role Overview
This position is for a hands-on technician who will work at a U-Haul moving and storage center lot in Sandusky, Ohio. The role focuses on helping customers with towing solutions, using practical mechanical know-how and delivering dependable service.
U-Haul emphasizes rapid hiring and pay, including the chance to complete two in-person working interviews and receive payment for each interview.
What You’ll Do
- Learn U-Haul’s towing package options thoroughly and explain them clearly to customers.
- Guide customers toward the most suitable tow package for their vehicle and complete the installation.
- Deliver strong customer support and a helpful experience throughout the service process.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Continue building knowledge through U-Haul University and other ongoing training.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license with a record that can be maintained in good standing.
- Practical exposure to basic wiring work and the use of hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
Work Environment
The job may involve moderate hazards or discomforts, including exposure to moving equipment, machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Safety gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical Demands
This role can require extended periods of standing or moving both indoors and outdoors, repositioning to access tools and work areas, and handling at least 50 lbs either alone or with assistance.
