About the Role
Airswift is a global manpower supplier specializing in the Energy, Infrastructure, and IT sectors with presence across more than 70 countries. We are collaborating with a major Oil & Gas company to fill the position of Head of Project Control on a long-term contract basis, located in Doha, Qatar.
Start Date: Immediate, typically within a one-month notice period.
Location: Onshore at Doha headquarters or Qatar project site.
Work Schedule: Six days per week with 8-10 hours per day or adjusted according to project needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the project management team's control functions, integrating contributions from engineering, construction, and other teams.
- Provide managerial and technical leadership across estimating, scheduling, cost engineering, procurement, and contract coordination departments.
- Ensure implementation of effective project control measures by contractors and subcontractors, with a particular focus on scheduling, planning, and progress monitoring, adapting processes as per Company and PMT standards.
- Serve as liaison between the Project Manager, Business Manager, PMT, and EPC contractor concerning cost and schedule performance, reporting, and approvals.
- Develop and maintain the Project Control Plan, updating as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collect, analyze, consolidate, and report comprehensive project cost and schedule data to evaluate project status and identify potential issues; prepare cost estimates when requested by senior management.
- Assess project changes to determine schedule and cost impacts, and integrate approved changes into overall cost and schedule management and reporting.
- Manage workforce planning and resource allocation for the project, ensuring equitable change management based on clear and consistent criteria.
- Monitor contractor performance on scheduling, reporting, progress tracking, and cost estimation, addressing discrepancies through timely communication and corrections; establish integrated planning systems suitable for the project.
- Review contractor invoices for accuracy and completeness, coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and Accounts Payable to resolve queries and disputes, provide relevant accounting and audit data, and ensure EPC contractor accounting systems comply with Company audit standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management/Administration, or related commercial discipline is essential.
- Minimum ten years of experience within large-scale oil and gas projects, including business management activities such as project control, cost and schedule planning, tender preparation, and contract administration.
- At least three years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
