  • Manage responses to Parliamentary Questions and assist with other ministerial and government reporting assignments as required.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of essential accountability reports including annual and quarterly reports, Annual Review, and Estimates questions.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal departments, the Communications team, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality advice and responses.
  • Enhance organizational comprehension of Crown entity duties through providing guidance, orientation, and information sessions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience handling Official Information Act requests and/or Parliamentary Questions, preferably within a Crown entity, public sector, or governmental agency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OIA legislation, processes, sensitivities, and deadlines.
  • Proven experience in assisting the development of government reporting documents.
  • Excellent written communication abilities to craft concise and well-considered responses for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines diligently.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior and government stakeholders and building trustful relationships.
  • Sound judgment and ability to work with intricate or sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to thrive in a political environment and preferably experienced in working with Minister offices.

Additional Information

  • This is a permanent part-time position working 32 hours each week.
  • The role is located in Auckland or Wellington with an emphasis on onsite work.
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to transparency, accountability, and trusted government engagement.
  • You will join a purpose-driven global team guided by values of courage (Māia), care (Manaaki), and connection (Hononga).
  • The working environment supports hybrid work arrangements within the team.
