Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform and hands-on experience delivering data integration and orchestration solutions. The role is based in Kolkata, India and involves building BI-oriented data solutions across cloud services, resolving high-priority issues, and contributing to end-to-end development work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration and orchestration solutions using Google Cloud Platform tools.
• Build business intelligence solutions with Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Bigtable.
• Use PL/SQL and Python for development and data processing tasks.
• Investigate and resolve critical production and project issues.
• Contribute to full lifecycle development projects from design through delivery.
• Work with Airflow, Composer, BigQuery, APIs, Cloud Functions, and GitHub in day-to-day development.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate updates clearly across teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform data services and architecture.
• Knowledge of orchestration and data pipeline design.
• Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Programming ability in Python.
• Exposure to Airflow and Composer.
• Hands-on familiarity with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, APIs, GitHub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Bigtable.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver resolutions.
• Good analytical and business problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
