Role overview
Garena is looking for a Game Designer in Singapore to contribute across the full game incubation journey. The role centers on shaping and improving core game ideas, systems, levels, and mechanics while supporting the move from concept to prototype and further development.
What you’ll do
- Assist with the full cycle of game incubation, including shaping, refining, and iterating on mechanics, levels, systems, and overall concepts.
- Collect, structure, and prioritize game ideas and concepts to support prototyping and development work.
- Take part in planning and running playtesting sessions, then use the feedback to improve the game design.
- Coordinate across several game development efforts at once while helping keep deliverables on track and problems to a minimum.
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and steady progress throughout production.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Game Design, Computer Science, or another relevant discipline.
- A portfolio demonstrating practical game design experience and capability.
- Hands-on experience in game development, particularly in prototyping, design, and playtesting.
- Comfort using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine, along with common design tools.
- Flexibility to work with evolving development needs and shifting priorities.
