Role Overview

The Fundraiser will take ownership of fundraising activities that help sustain the foundation’s programs and services. This role calls for building and maintaining relationships with donors, partners, companies, and institutions, while also shaping proposals, presentations, and campaign materials that communicate the organization’s mission and impact. The position is based in Bhopal and requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and review fundraising initiatives that support the foundation’s objectives.
• Identify potential donors and develop strong, long-term relationships with them.
• Engage with individuals, businesses, and institutions to secure support for the organization.
• Prepare persuasive proposals, presentations, and campaign content.
• Coordinate fundraising events and outreach efforts.
• Maintain donor records and ensure databases are updated accurately.
• Track fundraising performance, compile reports, and monitor key metrics.
• Work closely with program and communications teams to align messaging with organizational goals and impact narratives.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in fundraising, donor management, and planning campaigns that achieve target outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for proposals and presentations aimed at varied donor audiences.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets, CRM systems, reporting, and basic data handling.
• Good networking, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Awareness of the nonprofit sector, especially in child education, healthcare, food support, or elder care.
• Capacity to collaborate across teams and also work independently with limited oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a similar discipline; comparable experience may substitute for formal education.
• Willingness to participate in on-site community engagement across Bhopal; English and Hindi fluency is beneficial.
