About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker where you will gain valuable experience in the retail sector through assisting customers and maintaining the produce section. This role involves stocking, organizing, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met in the produce department.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and zone the produce department effectively.
- Rotate product inventory, checking for expired items to maintain freshness.
- Ensure all products are accurately priced and properly labeled.
- Follow established procedures for cold chain compliance, including thermometer calibration and temperature monitoring.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
- Execute proper processes related to ordering, clearance, markdowns, and labeling.
- Maintain a fully stocked department prepared for customer service.
- Comply with Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
- Manage product stocking, downstocking as necessary, apply product protection, and complete shelf and modular setups.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.45.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
