Role Overview
The Fresh Meat Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Meat Department while delivering outstanding product quality and service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Centra's core brand values of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based in daily work.
- Maintain retail meat cuts to meet high standards tailored to customer expectations.
- Boost sales by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and store standards every day.
- Present and merchandise the department to a top-quality appearance.
- Accurately implement planograms as specified.
- Oversee stock rotation to guarantee product freshness and quality.
- Manage department waste and shrinkage effectively.
- Continuously seek improvement opportunities by staying informed about new products and initiatives.
- Expand product knowledge through various sources and contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the department.
- Embrace and participate in new initiatives and updated working methods.
Candidate Profile
- Strong communication skills.
- Aptitude for numerical tasks.
- Customer-oriented attitude.
- Passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced team environment with multitasking under pressure.
- No prior experience required as comprehensive training will be provided.
