Role Overview

Join Neon's rapidly scaling gaming fintech environment, which processes transactions across numerous markets. Your principal task will be to develop and maintain the finance backbone that underpins this growth. As a foundational finance team member, you will collaborate closely with leadership to transform complex business data into actionable financial models, forecasts, and reports that steer key decisions.

This early-career role offers broad exposure beyond narrow analytics: you will handle revenue recognition, unit economics, and board-level reporting with genuine responsibility from the start. The main challenge involves instilling rigor and transparency into multifaceted data streams spanning payments, foreign exchange, tax issues, and player behavior.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and upkeep comprehensive financial models focused on revenue, gross merchandise value (GMV), take rates, and operating expenses.
• Participate actively in budgeting and forecasting cycles using driver-based and rolling models.
• Assess the financial outcomes of pricing adjustments, market entry strategies, and product initiatives.
• Manage recurring management reporting including monthly variance analyses comparing actuals against budgets and forecasts, KPI dashboards, and provide insightful commentary.
• Collaborate on monthly board reports and investor communications alongside finance leadership.
• Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to analyze unit economics and model deals effectively.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for pricing strategies, market expansion evaluations, and cost-efficiency projects.
• Translate complex, multi-source data into transparent insights supporting business decisions.
• Assist in reconciling multiple payment service providers and supporting month-end financial close processes.
• Develop scalable and repeatable financial workflows and controls as our finance operations grow.
• Support preparation and data governance across financial systems.
• Engage in diverse ad hoc projects spanning tax compliance across jurisdictions, treasury management, equity oversight, and accounts payable/receivable assistance.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately two years of experience in finance, ideally within investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, or related areas, with preference for banking background.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling, comfortable handling large and imperfect datasets.
• Effective communicator capable of articulating financial data narratives for non-financial stakeholders.
• Highly detail-oriented, self-reliant, and organized in delivering recurring financial reports without extensive supervision.

Additional Advantages

• Experience or exposure to fintech, payments platforms, or e-commerce infrastructure.
• Interest or background in the gaming industry, particularly in monetization, live operations, or player economics.
• Familiarity with Merchant of Record structures, indirect taxes like VAT, GST, or multi-jurisdictional financial regulations.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 per year.
