Dexter is an AI-driven spend intelligence platform designed for large enterprises. These organizations often spend vast sums annually on supplier purchases yet lack clarity on their expenditures. Dexter leverages artificial intelligence to analyze invoices and contracts, transforming disorganized data into actionable insights that help identify savings and support smarter decisions.

Role Overview

As a founding engineer at Dexter, you will play a critical role in developing the product from the ground up. You will collaborate directly with the company's founders and customers, taking end-to-end ownership of projects. Your responsibilities will extend beyond coding to include product and technical decision-making, direct customer engagement, and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Challenges

Extracting structured data from documents such as invoices and contracts.
Developing autonomous agents to align documents with relevant entities.
Building AI assistants to support user tasks, showcasing applied AI solutions for enterprise needs.

Candidate Profile

High velocity and efficiency in work execution.
A proactive "I’ll figure it out" mindset demonstrating strong self-direction.
Exceptional ownership mentality, completing tasks without supervision.
Strong enthusiasm for artificial intelligence technologies.
Possess either a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics or have 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience.

Unsuitable Traits

Preference for remote work is discouraged.
Desire for strictly well-defined problems is not aligned.
Preference for traditional 9-to-5 work hours is incompatible.
Focus solely on technology without addressing customer challenges is not suitable.
