Position Overview
The Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort, a distinguished four-star establishment set amidst 130 acres of scenic parkland in Dundalk, Ireland, is looking to hire an experienced Food & Beverage Assistant. The historic venue, dating back to 833 A.D., offers a unique setting for hospitality professionals to deliver top-tier service.
Role Summary
The Food & Beverage Assistant will be responsible for delivering friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests across various areas including the restaurant, bar, breakfast, and event spaces. This role emphasizes food and beverage order handling, maintaining cleanliness and presentation, and fostering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure prompt delivery.
- Prepare and serve food items, beverages, tea, and coffee following company guidelines.
- Set up and clear tables in dining areas, bars, and function rooms.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and personal appearance.
- Provide detailed information regarding menus, including dietary restrictions and allergens.
- Address guest requests and resolve any concerns effectively, escalating them when necessary.
- Operate cash registers, handling cash and card transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the food and beverage offerings and assist in up-selling when suitable.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, health and safety, licensing, and internal procedures.
- Restock supplies and maintain service zones throughout shifts.
- Offer support to colleagues and other departments during peak times.
- Contribute to achieving excellent guest satisfaction along with departmental goals.
