Job Summary
This position is based in Saudi Arabia and involves joining the Engineering & Training Services Division under the Fire Protection Organization. The division offers third-party accredited training, professional certification, and development opportunities to the Saudi Aramco Fire Protection workforce, ranging from new recruits to Chief Fire Officers. The certified programs adhere to National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress standards and are delivered mainly through one of three designated training facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training programs from instructional design through field delivery and third-party accreditation aligned with the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fire training facility operations, firefighting systems, and equipment.
- Exhibit role model proficiency by performing all skills taught, including under extreme conditions such as high heat, humidity, Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) live fire scenarios, and technical rescue environments.
- Inspect, operate, maintain, test, and service training resources and systems within fire protection training centers and grounds.
- Conduct safe and effective training sessions and assessments.
- Carry out training needs analyses and evaluate fire and rescue development programs.
- Coach and mentor instructional faculty below the incumbent level to foster workforce development and support career progression and succession planning.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, or a related accredited field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- At least 10 years of frontline fire-rescue operations experience within an organization that has a risk profile comparable to Saudi Aramco.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and delivering industrial fire and rescue accredited curricula, with industrial operations experience favored.
- Demonstrable mastery in fire-rescue knowledge, skills, and operational abilities.
- Ability to meet physical fitness requirements of the organization.
- Possession of Pro Board or IFSAC Accredited Certifications at minimum: Fire-Fighter I/II, Hazardous Materials Operations Level, Fire Service Instructor Level II, and Fire Officer Level II or equivalent.
- Preferable additional certifications include Pro Board or IFSAC credentials in Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue, and Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF).
- Technical aptitude for fire service equipment, operational systems, and maintenance procedures is essential.
