Financial Controller

Overview

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial strategy and control at the upcoming Gateway Udupi, Manipal hotel. This role, a key member of the Executive Committee, will drive the alignment and execution of financial and accounting strategies to meet brand expectations, deliver strong financial outcomes, and safeguard assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and participate in property-wide decision making.
• Develop and implement plans to improve profitability by analyzing costs, benefits, and exploring new business ventures.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, including forecasting sales against expenses and monitoring actual results.
• Analyze variances between forecasted and actual wages to optimize budget planning.
• Break down complex data and information to identify underlying financial trends and drivers.
• Innovate and execute new business initiatives supported by financial planning.
• Ensure strong operational and accounting controls to protect assets and enhance profitability.
• Analyze market and financial data to guide business strategy.
• Create and implement an annual operating budget aligned with brand and company objectives.
• Provide analytical support to identify cost-saving and productivity improvements.
• Lead the preparation of accurate financial forecasts to enable responsive operational decisions.
