Role overview
An established organisation is seeking a Finance Manager who can act as a strategic business partner to unit leadership. In this position, you will move beyond routine reporting and help shape business planning, capital allocation, and growth decisions by working closely with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end reporting and planning rhythm, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as well as budgets and forecasts, while guiding a team to deliver accurate outputs on schedule.
- Interpret business performance and turn it into practical insight by identifying risks, opportunities, and areas where costs or returns can be improved, then recommending the right course of action to leadership.
- Lead investment evaluation from start to finish, covering financial modelling, valuation, feasibility studies, and due diligence for new ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and capital projects.
- Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and process efficiency across the business unit.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for auditors, tax and regulatory matters, and internal stakeholders across Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and Audit.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline and brings more than 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, reporting, or business partnering. You should have strong commercial judgement, solid analytical ability, and a history of shaping business decisions through financial insight.
People leadership is important in this role, including the ability to build, manage, and develop a finance team. You must also be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and engaging confidently with non-finance audiences.
Flexibility to travel or relocate overseas is required. Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, ports, or other asset-heavy industries will be considered an advantage.
