Role Overview
This position focuses on financial planning, analysis, reporting, and governance for hospitality assets. The role works closely with asset management, hotel operations, finance, business development, legal, and commercial stakeholders to support better decision-making, stronger controls, and improved asset performance.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Review annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans for hospitality properties.
- Work with asset managers, hotel operators, and finance teams to collect inputs and check the assumptions used in planning.
- Compare actual results with budgets and forecasts, and explain the reasons for key differences with practical recommendations.
Cash Flow Management
- Build and maintain periodic cash flow statements to support liquidity planning and efficient working capital management.
- Track receivables, payables, project-related cash flows, operator remittances, and capital expenditure needs.
- Spot potential cash flow issues early and suggest ways to reduce risk.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Study monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for hospitality assets, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Monitor costs, operating KPIs, and business performance trends across hotel assets.
- Share financial insights and suggestions that can improve profitability and return on assets.
Asset Performance Support
- Partner with business development and asset management teams to assess the financial impact of deals, contracts, and renovation or refurbishment projects.
- Support deal structuring through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and return-on-investment evaluation.
- Review operator submissions and verify that financial data is accurate and compliant.
Audit and Compliance
- Assist internal and external audits by preparing documents, reconciliations, and finance explanations in a timely manner.
- Make sure accounting standards, internal controls, and company finance policies are followed.
- Help improve financial governance practices for hospitality assets.
Documentation and Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for senior leadership.
- Coordinate data and inputs across hotel operators, commercial teams, legal teams, and business development teams to maintain financial accuracy.
- Keep financial records organized and audit-ready.
Qualifications and Experience
A CA or equivalent qualification is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience and qualifications such as CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent background may also be considered. The expected experience range is 8 to 12 years, ideally gained in real estate hospitality, hotel brands, hotel ownership companies, or similar hospitality-sector environments.
