Field Support Technician (Tester)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Follow safe working practices and prioritize safety at the site at all times.
• Coordinate directly with customers during day-to-day testing and commissioning work, while staying aligned with the Field Supervisor.
• Inspect and test the unit against applicable codes and standards so it is mechanically and electrically safe, meets internal and external quality requirements, and functions according to the contract.
• Commission equipment in line with the agreed specifications and commissioning instructions.
• Complete the final inspection and sign the related inspection paperwork.
• Take part in inspections carried out by notified bodies or consultants, and support customer handover when needed.
• Spot installation quality concerns and deviations that need corrective action, then report them to the Field Supervisor, who oversees all site activities.
• Contribute to quality improvement groups by reviewing snag lists, technical issues found during inspections, and sharing relevant information.
• Use lean principles to reduce work interruptions and consistently support huddle initiatives.

Candidate profile

The role requires a diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience in the elevator industry. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, communicate well in spoken and written English, and have basic IT knowledge. A strong digital background is considered an advantage.
