Role Summary
The Field Service Technician acts as a representative of Endress+Hauser, demonstrating technical proficiency, professionalism, and strong customer focus. This role involves providing comprehensive on-site services such as installation, repair, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and customer training for Endress+Hauser process instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site installation (within limits), repairs, service, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of process instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure all serviced equipment is left safe and fully operational for customer use.
- Generate timely service reports and complete associated work orders accurately in SalesForce to facilitate invoicing.
- Manage Smart Support cases using Vonnage, a cloud-based communication platform.
- Deliver on-site customer training regarding the application, servicing, and operation of Endress+Hauser products and tools.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts stocked in the company vehicle for immediate use.
- Proactively gather and relay customer feedback and identify potential sales and training opportunities through SalesForce and direct communication with management.
- Commit to personal development through in-house and international training opportunities.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies and procedures during all tasks.
- Perform additional duties relevant to skills and experience as assigned by management to support service function development.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a minimum trade certificate in Electrical & Instrumentation.
- Demonstrated technical experience with industrial instrumentation systems.
- Mechanical and/or electrical skills considered advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver clear and concise customer service.
- Solution-focused mindset with ability to view challenges as opportunities for learning and service improvement.
- Strong teamwork ethic and collaboration with Sales team to drive business growth.
- Adaptability to work effectively in dynamic environments with changing priorities and technologies.
