About the Role and Company
Join a dynamic, service-disabled veteran-owned general contractor with a strong record of success in public sector projects, particularly federal design-build and institutional infrastructure contracts. This opportunity involves driving the creation of competitive and precise bids to secure complex federal and institutional projects, contributing extensively to the company’s growth and backlog in a highly stable market segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and detailed assessments.
- Analyze requirements from public and federal Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Manage the solicitation process with subcontractors.
- Develop and compile hard-bid as well as conceptual estimates.
- Engage in value engineering discussions for public agency construction projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience specifically in commercial or public works estimating.
- Expert knowledge of public bidding procedures, unit pricing, and an extensive network of subcontractors.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as On-Center, Bluebeam, and WinEst.
