Job description
Overview
The Shoprite Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Facilities Co-Ordinator to operate in Centurion, Gauteng. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing contractor activities, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, within a fast-paced distribution centre setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise contractor operations on-site to guarantee adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Organize and track maintenance programs for equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Manage compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards to promote a safe work environment.
- Oversee material handling equipment (MHE) maintenance and related controls.
- Handle budget aspects connected with facility upkeep and contractor services.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated background in facilities management within industrial or distribution centre settings.
- Experience in coordinating contractors and maintenance teams.
- Knowledgeable in Occupational Health and Safety policies and enforcement.
- Familiarity with maintenance and budget management for material handling equipment.
