About the team
The Physical Security group sits within the Corporate Services function and oversees the planning, rollout, and ongoing management of physical security projects and programs that support the company’s global operations. The team brings together seasoned professionals with backgrounds across corporate, military, law enforcement, and government environments.
Role overview
This position is responsible for delivering close protection support for executives, including secure driving when needed, and for helping run the Executive Protection (EP) program across global locations. The role also involves short-notice travel support, security planning, and coordination for protection activities worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver close protection assistance for company executives, including security-driving duties when required.
- Support and help execute the Executive Protection Program, including rapid-response protection coverage for travel and other destinations globally.
- Perform threat and risk reviews, and prepare security advances before protection assignments.
- Apply sound knowledge of executive protection practices and use established protective procedures appropriately.
- Help create, improve, and deliver EP-related programs and training as needed, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Carry out all duties with integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct, while also providing administrative support linked to executive protection work.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Executive Protection or Close Protection.
- Strong ability to assess current and emerging security requirements for a global organization.
- Excellent communication and people skills, along with strong business judgment.
- Working knowledge of executive protection programs, policies, and support processes.
- Comfortable collaborating in a team environment and able to take the lead or support others as needed.
- Valid class 3 driving licence and a minimum of 3 years of active driving experience.
- Current PLRD security officer licence.
- Preferred educational background in Criminology, Security Management, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Preferably grounded, modest, and resilient.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel frequently, including some weekends when necessary.
- Prior exposure to travel security is advantageous.
