Role Overview
This contract position is for an English Language Specialist focused on transcription. The specialist will transcribe and edit audio recordings into clear, well-formatted text while meeting accuracy standards and deadlines. This role requires excellent English fluency, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive content confidentially. The work is fully remote, offering flexible location opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into accurately formatted English transcriptions.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions to enhance grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
- Adhere strictly to client-defined transcription guidelines and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information throughout the transcription process.
- Complete transcription assignments within designated timeframes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Fluent English speaker with strong listening and comprehension capabilities.
- Experienced in transcription, editing, or proofreading roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and able to follow detailed instructions.
- Typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
- Capability to work autonomously in a remote setup.
