Role Overview
We are seeking an English Language Specialist for a contract position that can be performed remotely from any location. This role involves transcribing and editing audio recordings into accurate and well-formatted English text while adhering to client-specific standards and confidentiality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into written English with a high level of accuracy and appropriate formatting.
- Edit and proofread transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and clarity to ensure quality.
- Follow detailed transcription guidelines provided by clients.
- Handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
- Complete transcription tasks within assigned deadlines consistently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Fluent English proficiency with excellent listening comprehension.
- Previous experience in transcription, editing, or proofreading roles.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to follow complex instructions.
- Typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setup.
