About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated English Content Editor to develop engaging and helpful English learning materials for our users. This role involves curating English language videos, transcribing captions, and annotating vocabulary by defining words and creating example sentences.

Responsibilities

The editor will adapt to various software tools for communication and task management, such as Asana and Slack. They will collaborate closely with other editors to optimize language learning services and contribute to a supportive, remote, and low-pressure working environment with clear, logical communication.

Job Requirements

• Passion for language education and belief in its transformative impact.
• Strong understanding of English grammar and language learning principles.
• Minimum of one year experience in English education, translation, or linguistics, with an empathetic approach to language learners' challenges.
• Meticulous editing skills ensuring professionalism and accuracy.
• Ability to work productively within a fully remote, globally distributed team.
• Self-motivation and responsibility to manage tasks independently.
• Excellent written communication skills with organized and clear messaging.
• Consistent availability to contribute 15-20 hours per week on a sustained, long-term basis.

Additional Information

A test replicating actual work at the company will be part of the hiring process. The first 90 days serve as a trial period to determine mutual fit, with full payment provided during this phase.
