About the Role

Join DSTA and contribute to national security by designing, developing, integrating, testing, and operationalizing advanced unmanned aircraft technologies. You will be involved with cutting-edge UAV systems ranging from micro to medium-sized and strategic-class platforms, tailored for deployment across Air Force, Army, Navy, and other mission profiles. This role includes working on customized UAV systems meeting specific SAF requirements as well as experimenting with novel drone deployment concepts.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement innovative engineering solutions for UAV systems.
  • Architect and integrate advanced systems globally to enable cohesive operational capabilities, including integration with Command and Control Systems for enhanced situational awareness and mission planning.
  • Experiment with, evaluate, and incorporate emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and autonomous systems for real-world deployment.
  • Ensure all UAV products uphold stringent standards for airworthiness, safety, performance, and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with leading technology organizations, companies, and research institutions locally and internationally to co-develop solutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a tertiary degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Exhibit creativity and eagerness to learn and expand skill sets in new technological areas.
