Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Industrial Engineer to enhance our manufacturing operations by boosting productivity, cutting costs, and driving efficiency improvements. This role involves detailed analysis of production processes, manpower-machine balancing, workflow optimization, and the deployment of Lean Manufacturing methodologies across various production units.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out time and motion studies to define standard cycle times for all manufacturing activities.
- Examine and enhance production workflows in processes such as Zinc Die-Casting, Trimming, Buffing, Polishing, Plating, Assembly, Laser Marking, Quality Inspection, and Packing.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
- Assess manpower needs to allocate workforce optimally and conduct line balancing to improve throughput and minimize downtime.
- Detect process bottlenecks and apply improvements to elevate productivity levels.
- Track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and propose enhancement measures.
- Analyze production data including downtime, rejection rates, rework, and machine usage.
- Lead projects aimed at improving productivity to decrease manufacturing costs and shorten lead times.
- Collaborate with Production Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance, Procurement, Tool Room, and Inventory departments for process improvements.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist with new product feasibility assessments and process planning to support development activities.
- Suggest enhancements for plant layout and material flow to reduce handling times and boost operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present productivity and efficiency metrics through daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working as an Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred candidates will have exposure to zinc die-casting, automotive parts production, precision engineering, or electroplating sectors.
