Their immediate focus is on organ-scale reversible cryopreservation—maintaining donated organs at subzero temperatures without ice formation and then uniformly rewarming them for successful transplantation. Achieving this will establish a foundation for whole-body cryopreservation, enabling patients to safely await future medical breakthroughs.
Role Summary
The company is forming a skilled multidisciplinary team to innovate perfusion technologies, cryoprotectant chemical formulations, and advanced vitrification and rewarming hardware.
The role involves comprehensive engineering challenges spanning electronic, mechanical, and software systems designed with a deep, principle-based approach. Candidates will exercise independence across analog and digital circuitry and control systems. Their work will help transform complex science into elegant, almost magical technology.
Qualifications and Skills
- Robust foundation in scientific disciplines such as physics, chemistry, or biology combined with engineering expertise in electrical, mechanical, or computational fields.
- Proven experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
- Practical knowledge of control systems and mechanical design concepts.
- Possession of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable area.
- Demonstrated autonomy and exceptional performance in previous roles.
Preferred Experience
- Over 3 years of professional or graduate-level experience in relevant engineering or physics disciplines.
- Startup work environment exposure is advantageous.
