  • Promote the Medicare Mental Health Centre's Employment Support by engaging with partner services, organizations, clients, and their support networks.
  • Collaborate with Disability Employment Services (DES) and Jobactive providers when relevant.
  • Establish and nurture connections with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and offer educational support to employers.
  • Evaluate consumers' vocational abilities, skills, and challenges to determine realistic short- and long-term employment goals and support requirements.
  • Co-create Career and Vocational Profiles and individualized Employment Plans with participants.
  • Develop and execute tailored plans with participant and clinical team input to maintain solid engagement, address barriers effectively, and support employment-related activities.
  • Coordinate work experience, voluntary roles, informational interviews, short courses, training, and work trials to enhance participants' skills and interests.
  • Apply reverse marketing strategies to connect with potential employers and secure paid placements aligned with participant capabilities and preferences.
  • Assist participants with employer communication and job applications.

Requirements

  • Proven familiarity with Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and evidence-based supported employment models.
  • Ability to provide client-centered job support to individuals and employers and develop tailored career plans.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
