Role Overview

As an Employment Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with a caseload of customers, helping them overcome barriers to employment. Through motivation and empowerment, you will support individuals in gaining the skills and confidence needed to secure and maintain employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload using diverse coaching strategies to prepare customers for job search and interviews.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand customers’ situations, preferences, and barriers to progress.
  • Collaborate to create personalized, SMART action plans including sequenced interventions and development options.
  • Utilize local specialist services to address specific customer needs such as substance misuse, anger management, debt, health, or vocational training.

  • Co-develop effective in-work support strategies with participants and employers.
  • Engage actively in continuous improvement to maintain service excellence.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies covering data security, safeguarding, and health & safety.
  • Work from local hubs and community outreach centers, occasionally in partnership with housing, health, and primary care services.
