Village Media is looking for a full-time Editor to join its Niagara Falls, Ontario newsroom. The organization is a digital-first, independent media network focused on helping communities stay informed, connected, and engaged.

Qualifications and experience

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Journalism, or a closely related discipline, along with newsroom experience. You should have strong writing and editing abilities, a solid command of CP style, and the judgment needed to uphold accuracy, fairness, transparency, and journalism ethics. Building positive relationships with colleagues and community members is also important. Familiarity with the Niagara Region is essential.

Additional requirements

A valid driver’s licence and access to a dependable vehicle are required. The successful candidate must live in or close to Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Compensation and application details

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. Applicants are asked to submit a resume, cover letter, and work samples.
