Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your team to prototype and launch AI-driven product improvements.
• Take ownership of production projects including new model integrations, monitoring implementation, and performance optimizations.
• Participate in evaluation processes by building or extending datasets, conducting experiments, analyzing outcomes, and driving product or system refinements.

Required Qualifications

• Less than two years of professional engineering experience with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience or coursework in AI/ML prototyping, familiar with product integration including UI, APIs, and relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Approach problems thoughtfully with a holistic perspective, decomposing complex challenges while balancing business impact.
• Technology mindset focused on delivering user value through pragmatic selection and use of tools, staying informed of AI-assisted development environments.
• Proactive and clear communication style with high ownership of work and initiative in project progression.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
• Keen interest in the interplay of technology and society and awareness of historical computing pioneers.

Compensation

Competitive cash salary and equity are offered based on multiple factors such as location and experience. For San Francisco roles, the base salary range is estimated between $130,000 and $150,000 annually.
