As the Director of Engineering at Hilton in Doha, Qatar, you will play a vital role beyond just maintaining the physical premises. You will embody hospitality's spirit by ensuring every guest has a memorable stay through the smooth and efficient operation of building and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and cultivate a highly effective team by recruiting, mentoring, training, evaluating performance, and recognizing accomplishments to foster motivation and high performance.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance by managing maintenance of the building structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems; coordinate inspections adhering to local and national standards.
• Oversee daily maintenance workflows, prioritize and track service completions through the property maintenance system, and promptly address guest and emergency issues.
• Support capital improvement and rehabilitation projects by managing scheduling, budgets, contractor selection, licensing, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
• Initiate and manage property-wide energy conservation programs aimed at reducing utility expenses.
• Track and enhance engineering department performance by monitoring KPIs such as equipment maintenance, audit outcomes, and team productivity, taking necessary actions to improve results.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on emergency procedures, duty management, and safety standards to support overall hotel operations.
