Overview
We are a national staffing agency seeking a Desktop Support I professional to join our prominent client’s team remotely. This position involves acting as a frontline support specialist within a broader platform environment.
Job Details
- Compensation ranges from $38 to $43.45 per hour starting rate.
- The assignment lasts for 3 months with the likelihood of extension based on budget availability and individual performance.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fully remote.
- The role demands hands-on engagement, managing merchant support tickets from start to finish, rapidly acquiring detailed product and process knowledge, and becoming a trusted resource for tackling complex and high-impact support issues.
- The daily focus involves managing support queues, diagnosing client problems often with incomplete details, ensuring case closure, and maintaining excellent communication standards with merchants.
Qualifications
- A minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience providing merchant-facing IT support specifically for point-of-sale (POS), delivery, or e-commerce environments.
- Strong capabilities in technical troubleshooting enabling resolution of complicated problems even without complete logs, clear reproduction steps, or direct system access.
- Complete ownership of support tickets beyond initial diagnosis to final resolution.
- Experience working directly with merchant or customer-facing roles.
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume setting with performance metrics.
