Design Manager

Job Overview

This role demands leading and supervising all facets of design activities from conceptualization through to construction documentation within real estate development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and coordinate design tasks including concept, schematic, detailed design, and Issued for Construction phases.
• Appoint and supervise external consultants such as architects, engineers, master planners, and interior designers.
• Ensure that design solutions align with commercial goals, functional requirements, aesthetic standards, and cost parameters.
• Review and authorize design submissions, technical drawings, and detailed specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with internal departments including Development, Commercial, Construction, Sales, and Marketing.
• Guarantee compliance with local UAE authorities, building codes, regulations, and approval procedures.
• Manage design modifications, value engineering initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide support during tendering phases, clarify queries from contractors, and respond to construction phase design questions.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure design milestones are completed promptly.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Have over eight years of experience in design management within real estate development or consultancy sectors.
• Demonstrate strong experience in residential, mixed-use, or hospitality projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE regulations and authority approval workflows.
• Experienced working with international consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Exhibit excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Proficient in reviewing designs and managing project documentation.
• Fluency in Russian language is considered a significant advantage.
