Job Purpose

This role involves managing various aspects of corporate affairs to enhance the organization's reputation, including stakeholder engagement and crisis management. The Deputy Manager will also ensure adherence to statutory regulations by coordinating with government bodies for required approvals and documentation. Additionally, responsibilities cover communication with government and mining officials to meet operational needs and supervising cost management related to office and guest house resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with government departments to secure approvals and comply with land acquisition, environmental, and other statutory requirements.
  • Manage compliance documentation processes and monitor file progress at district offices for ongoing and upcoming coal mining projects.
  • Handle submissions of official letters, permissions, and responses to legislative questions relating to land compensation and regulatory approvals.
  • Oversee corporate affairs functions such as managing public agitation scenarios and supporting hospitalization procedures for employees during emergencies by collaborating with local contacts, NGOs, politicians, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local government entities, media, and other external stakeholders to foster a positive company image and manage public relations.
  • Assist in the prudent management of budget allocations aimed at fulfilling corporate objectives.
  • Facilitate continuous liaison and communication with bodies like CSPDCL, RRVUNL, mining authorities, ensuring timely statutory compliance and smooth coordination over project matters.
  • Coordinate site visits with mining officials and oversee execution of agreements concerning coal storage, transportation permits, and other operational prerequisites.
  • Embrace and apply new digital tools and technologies to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and enhance communication within the corporate affairs function.
