Position Summary

This hybrid role, based in Paramus, NJ, requires presence in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Demand Supply Planner ensures finished goods are available at the right locations with high freshness to meet customer needs, while optimizing costs. The planner governs the Demand Supply Planning (DSP) process in Osem USA and coordinates across categories with Sales, Marketing, and Demand Planning support. The role contributes to both strategic (3+ years) and tactical (18–20 months) business planning through Monthly and Dynamic Planning cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive supply planning for short shelf-life finished goods (7–12 months shelf life) sourced from Nestlé and co-manufacturers, including demand calculations, deployment, purchase forecasts, and SAP order creation.
• Track production schedules to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Plan and enhance utilization of mixed-container and transport loads.
• Create demand forecasts and replenishment orders within planning horizons.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyze planning exceptions, and prioritize business needs to propose corrective measures.
• Lead product change initiatives and support faster market introductions, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
• Conduct planning meetings involving Osem Israel, co-manufacturers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Logistics, and Finance.
• Develop and refine demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, customer trends, promotions, market insights, and business assumptions.
• Assess forecast accuracy and bias, taking corrective steps as needed.
• Prepare short, medium, and long-term forecasts to support supply, inventory, procurement, and financial plans.
• Evaluate how product launches, discontinuations, and business changes affect demand.

Performance Metrics

• Customer Service measured by Fill Rate
• Out of Stock (OOS) and Lost Sales monitoring
• Forecast Accuracy percentage
• Value of donations and write-offs from short-dated or expired inventory

Qualifications & Skills

• Preferably a college or engineering degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain demand or supply planning.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Strong computer skills with advanced Excel usage; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Experience in the food industry is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Results-driven mindset and proactive collaboration skills.
• Adept at working in a dynamic environment with strong communication and independent decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Compensation & Work Environment

The position offers an estimated base salary between $65000 and $75000, subject to final determination based on experience, skills, and location. The role is hybrid with designated office days as noted.
