Role Overview

We are inviting applications for a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver based in Christchurch, New Zealand. The position involves operating from Monday to Friday, starting early morning with possible occasional Saturdays. This role requires delivery and refilling of LPG gas cylinders to various homes and businesses in the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Work Monday to Friday, beginning around 6:30am, finishing by 5:00pm, with occasional Saturday shifts.
• Deliver and refill LPG cylinders safely and efficiently across the region.
• Interact directly with customers, responding to their questions and providing assistance as needed.
• Handle dangerous goods with strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a clean Class 2 driving licence with a minimum of two years of experience operating Class 2 vehicles.
• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles and delivering goods.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy items during deliveries.
• Possess or willing to obtain Dangerous Goods licence and LPG filling training.
• Strong customer service skills with adaptability and flexibility.
• Possess solid knowledge of the local region.
• Ability to operate handheld computer delivery devices.
• Proactive with a strong emphasis on health and safety responsibilities.
• Must pass background checks including criminal, ACC, medical, and drug & alcohol screenings.
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive and responsible mindset to meet operational demands.
