About the role
Domino’s is hiring delivery drivers to support store operations in Palm Springs. The role is a good fit for someone who wants flexible hours, whether as a primary job, a second source of income, or a schedule that leaves room for school, friends, or other commitments. The company also highlights opportunities for long-term growth, including paths toward management and store ownership.
What you’ll do
- Handle delivery-related work within the assigned area.
- Operate store equipment as needed.
- Move ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Assist with product preparation.
- Receive phone orders and process them accurately.
- Track inventory and complete the required paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the store area on a regular basis, roughly daily.
Role requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards. An insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries is required. The job also calls for strong navigation ability, including reading maps, locating addresses within the delivery zone, and handling difficult terrain such as multi-storey buildings.
Communication and core skills
The position requires the ability to follow written instructions, communicate clearly with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, handle basic math quickly and accurately, give correct change, and use a keyboard or touchscreen to enter orders.
Work environment and physical demands
Team members may work in changing and sometimes harsh weather when performing outdoor tasks. Inside the store, temperatures can range from 36 degrees in cooler areas to 90 degrees or higher in other workspaces. The role may involve exposure to food fumes, cornmeal dust, hot oven surfaces reaching up to 500 degrees or more, sharp edges, moving parts, cramped areas, and sudden temperature changes. The job also requires standing for most tasks, short-distance walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling stacked trays, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders for maintenance and signage work.
Training and growth
Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. Domino’s also notes that many team members have advanced from delivery roles into management, general manager, corporate operations, and franchise ownership.
Additional information
The company emphasizes honesty, transparency, accountability, safety, stability, and a people-first culture. It also states that 90% of local Domino’s store owners began as delivery drivers or pizza makers.
Diversity statement
Domino’s says it values the unique strengths and contributions of every individual and aims to create an environment where people of all differences can succeed and reach their full potential.
