Job Overview
The role of Deli Assistant involves preparing both hot and cold deli products with high quality standards, with a strong emphasis on achieving excellent customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Training in HACCP is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Ability to perform well in a team within a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- A genuine enthusiasm for food and the capacity to engage and inspire customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody the Centra brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Focused.
- Prepare customer food orders across all fresh food sections, including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats according to store portion control standards.
- Cook, prepare, and present food items available for sale throughout the trading day.
- Maintain impeccable counter displays across all fresh food departments continuously during operating hours.
- Exhibit passion for quality food by sharing recipes, knowledge, and personal recommendations with customers.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, adhering to store policies.
