Deli Assistant

Overview

The Deli Assistant is responsible for preparing top-quality hot and cold deli items while prioritizing excellent customer satisfaction. This role is based at Centra Forster Street and operates full-time.

Candidate Profile

• Training in HACCP is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Previous experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Must be capable of thriving in a dynamic team setting, handling multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the ability to engage and motivate shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders spanning fresh food categories, including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats adhering to established portion controls.
• Cook, prepare, and present food items available throughout the day.
• Maintain the highest quality and appearance of counter displays across fresh food sections throughout operating hours.
• Express passion for quality food by offering customers knowledge, recipes, and recommendations.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, following company policies.
