Role overview

This position is centered on creating and putting into production large language model (LLM) solutions that support a range of business and product use cases, with a strong focus on natural language processing and multimodal AI. The work calls for solid machine learning fundamentals, a research-driven approach, and the ability to break down and solve complex problem statements. Close partnership with engineering and product stakeholders will be important to deliver practical outcomes. Keeping pace with the newest developments in deep learning and LLM methods will be a key part of the job.

Team overview

You will join the Foundational Model Team (FMT), which is building in-house generative AI capabilities to support innovation across multiple business areas within the Flipkart Group.

What you will work on

• Reviewing current GenAI research and applying relevant ideas to improve Flipkart group applications.
• Designing and developing internal generative AI models that can stand up to real business needs.
• Helping product and business teams make effective use of in-house models in day-to-day applications.

What this role expects

The role requires a strong conceptual and practical understanding of the algorithms you work with. You should be comfortable with deep learning concepts, including both the theory and implementation of language model fine-tuning, and have a dependable foundation in machine learning models. A continued focus on emerging research in deep learning, LLMs, and broader AI progress is also important.
