Role Overview

The Data Scientist role involves close collaboration with diverse teams such as Product, Finance, Payments, Security, Risk, Growth, and Go-to-Market. The position focuses on extracting actionable insights from data, building sophisticated machine learning models, and conducting experiments to inform strategic choices. This function impacts key areas including product optimization, fraud prevention, forecasting, liquidity management, and user experience enhancements. The role requires transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that directly affect product and corporate strategies.

Qualifications

• PhD with a minimum of 3 years, Master's or equivalent with at least 6 years, or Bachelor's degree coupled with 8 years of experience in data science or quantitative analysis
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or R
• Robust expertise in machine learning, statistics, optimization, product analytics, causal inference, and experimental design
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve impactful results
• Excellent communication skills capable of clearly articulating complex analysis and recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong business insight with the capability to convert data findings into strategic actions
• Innovative and inquisitive approach with a readiness to challenge assumptions and uncover novel solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to grasp business challenges and spot chances for data-driven enhancements
• Create, refine, and deploy machine learning models and statistical methods supporting product, risk, and business objectives
• Design and analyze experiments aimed at feature evaluation, process optimization, and causal impact measurement
• Convey complex analytical results into clear, practical insights and guidance for stakeholders
• Work closely with engineers to implement models in production and oversee their performance
• Maintain high data quality and integrity across various data sources
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and cutting-edge analytical approaches
