Role Overview

We have a key vacancy for a Shift Operations Electrical Associate Professional to support our Data Centre Operations team. This role involves monitoring and maintaining critical power generation assets for our clients, ensuring operational excellence through systematic procedure adherence and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize customer assets to maintain peak performance consistent with contract agreements.
  • Coordinate and prioritize event notifications promptly to meet contractual response standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Document all operational activities comprehensively in monitoring and asset management systems.
  • Ensure thorough handovers between shifts to promote continuous safe operations and operational knowledge retention.
  • Work efficiently within a Service Level Agreement-driven team environment.
  • Conduct daily mechanical and electrical system inspections at the site.
  • Maintain safe environmental conditions across the facility.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms, executing emergency measures per established protocols.
  • Authorize permits and oversee third-party contractors in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Generate reports analyzing asset availability and performance trends.
  • Follow all company regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Assist the maintenance team during planned maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior experience in mission-critical or power generation environments is essential.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including document creation and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and battery systems.
  • Experience performing low voltage electrical switching and testing operations.
  • Good understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) safety protocols, hazardous energy control, and permit systems.
  • Qualification at NFQ Level 6 (Tradesperson) or equivalent in electrical or related technical disciplines; engineering degree considered a plus.
